Launch of e-Quiz 2003 - Book of Knowledge Vol: 2, September 2002

e-Quiz 2003 was launched with the Book of Knowledge Vol: 2. The book contains 800-quiz question and answers, an interactive quizzing CD, freebies, discount vouchers’ and a unique registration number. The unique registration number allows a student to log online and register for e-Quiz 2003. Effectively making the book the entry form for e-Quiz 2003. These books were retailed through all major schools & select outlets.

Road shows in schools, October, November & December 2002

To increase participation and popularize e-Quiz 2003 at the grass root level. Dubaiquiz conducted road shows in schools. The road shows included familiarizing students with e-Quiz. Mini quizzing sessions were held and prizes were given out to the winners’. Posters and flyers were also distributed to students and schools.

e-Quiz 2003, January 2003

e-quiz 2003 went live on the 2nd of January till the 31st of January. Once again living up to its reputation of being the biggest online quiz contest in the UAE. The quiz had a large number of registrants. The fall in the number of registrants as compared to year 1 was due to the entry fee of AED 10 charged. Students from two age categories of 8-13 and 14-18 logged online from all over the UAE.

Total number of e-Quiz books sold: 30,000 copies

e-Quiz 2003 Finals, Feb. 2003

e-Quiz 2003 finals were conducted by the Asia’s No: 1 quizmaster – Derek O’Brien. Two separate shows were conducted at the Emirates Auditorium, Crowne Plaza. The format involved a written elimination to shortlist the final 10 onstage finalists for the quiz. The day turned out to be memorable and special for the entire audience due to the brilliant showmanship of Derek O Brien.

Total turnout: 1000 people.
